After the funeral service, most families in the UK hold what’s known as a wake — a more relaxed gathering where friends and loved ones can share stories, offer support, and continue celebrating the life of the person who has passed.
Whether held in a pub, hotel, community hall, care home, or a family home, the wake provides comfort and connection.
As part of my celebrant service, I now offer a £100 contribution toward the cost of the wake.
